IT/Infrastructure
Infrastructure
Network, servers and cloud – designed as one system.
Butler Office plans, builds and supports the technical foundation of your company: from the Wi-Fi in the office to servers and virtualisation, through to Azure and AWS.
Starting point
Grown over time, but never planned.
Very few infrastructures were designed. They came about: one more switch, a server in the storeroom, a cloud account that someone once opened. The result often works for a surprisingly long time – but nobody can explain any more how it all fits together.
This becomes noticeable when things change: a second site is added, staff work from home, the licence costs for virtualisation rise, the cloud bill grows for no apparent reason. Or the person who knew everything leaves the company.
We bring structure to it – without rebuilding everything. First understand and document, then stabilise, then renew in a targeted way.
What Butler Office takes on
Plan, build, document, support.
We work independently of manufacturers and choose components according to your requirements, not according to a catalogue.
Network, firewall & Wi-Fi
We plan and support wired networks and Wi-Fi, segment them sensibly – for example guests, office and production devices – and operate the firewall with transparent rules. The aim is a network that runs stably and can be explained.
VPN & site-to-site networking
Secure access on the move, from the home office or between several sites: we set up VPN access and site connections and make sure the same services are available at every location.
Servers & virtualisation
We operate physical and virtual servers with Proxmox or Hyper-V – including storage, backup and monitoring. If you want to replace an existing VMware environment, you get a planned migration with a test phase and a way back.
Cloud: Azure & AWS
Not everything belongs in the cloud, but some things are better placed there. We build cloud environments, migrate services and connect them to your existing infrastructure. With a cloud cost analysis we show which resources are actually needed.
Documentation & takeover
We record existing IT landscapes and document them in an understandable way: network plan, systems, access details, dependencies, contracts. This documentation belongs to you – and makes you independent of individual people.
Monitoring & ongoing support
An infrastructure is never finished. We monitor availability and load, install firmware and security updates, check backups and get in touch when something is emerging that needs attention.
Typical use cases
When it pays off.
A new site is being opened
Office, branch or warehouse need a network, Wi-Fi and a secure connection to headquarters – ideally from day one.
Virtualisation is becoming too expensive
Increased licence costs are a good reason to examine alternatives such as Proxmox or Hyper-V and to switch in an orderly manner.
The cloud bill is growing
Resources are running that nobody uses any more. A cost analysis creates clarity and lowers ongoing expenses.
Nobody knows the environment any more
After a change of staff the knowledge is missing. We record, document and, on request, take over the support.
Who it is for
Is this right for you?
For SMEs with their own premises, devices and data – from the office with a handful of workstations to the business with several sites.
We are also happy to support associations and private individuals with more demanding networks, for example with a home office, network storage or separate networks for guests.
- Inventory – record network, systems, access details and contracts.
- Evaluation – what is critical, what is outdated, what is unnecessary?
- Target picture – a plan with priorities instead of a wish list.
- Implementation in stages – during ongoing operations, documented.
- Support – monitoring, updates and regular checks.

Security & compliance
Audits and vulnerability scans show where your infrastructure is open to attack.
Hosting & operations
We operate servers and applications for you that do not have to be located on your own premises.

Do you know how your IT fits together?
An inventory is the best start. Tell us about your environment – we will discuss with you what makes sense and in which order.
